#GivingTuesday takes place on Tuesday, November 30th. Every year, millions of people across the globe (almost 60 countries) mobilize to help support their chosen causes. Giving Tuesday is meant to re-invigorate organizations, reinforce commitments and initiate real change.
When you contribute to CASCADIA on Tuesday, Nov. 30 as part of Giving Tuesday you’re helping to support opportunities and experiences of the festival’s women filmmakers. Each year CASCADIA raises the profile and distribution of the work by more and more women, connects them to each other and to opportunities for collaboration and growth, and celebrates the collective artistry represented by the visions and voices of women’s stories.
By creating a platform for the films directed by women CASCADIA is bringing change to an industry in which women have long been underrepresented. But real change starts with the decision to act.
If you contribute $125 or more, you will honor the work of the 125 film makers who have been showcased in the festival since CASCADIA’s first festival five years ago. Your name will be added to our Centennial Circle, began in 2019 to celebrate the anniversary of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote. The first 100 Centennial Circle contributors will have the option of reserved seating section at the Honored Guest program at the 2022 Festival, May 12-15. Our goal is to match the CASCADIA Board’s collective pledge of $10,000 this year by December 31. Your Giving Tuesday contribution will count towards that match!
